Lily Grass Accents

Lily grass can be a great way to give your bouquet a little more interest and a slight contemporary feel. This bright bouquet of circus roses and flame mini callas has just a touch of looped lily grass around the edge instead of a more traditional greenery.

The loops really give the bouquet a more finished look than it would have without the grass. Lily grass can be a solid dark green like this or it can be a variegated light and dark green. Always ask about using greenery as another accent element to your bouquets.

Fruit and Flowers

Sisters designed these lush, fall arrangements for a rehearsal dinner last October. Our clients wanted to incorporate lots of texture and interest for the season. Fall roses, hydrangea, daises, berries and curly willow worked well together in the arrangements. We used red apples inside the cylinder vases to continue the fall color low on the table.

Fun with fruit and flowers!

Reception at Crowne Plaza

Submerged cymbidium orchids in bright green and gold decorated half of the guest tables at this October reception at the Crowne Plaza in Clayton. The other half of the tables had lush, full arrangements of fall flowers including hydrangea, roses, berries, and filler. Take a look at these snapshots that our very own Sister, Chelsea, took at set-up.

Peacock Feathers

For everyone out there considering using peacock feathers, here is an example of how we incorporated them into bouquets and as decorations at the ceremony and reception. Take a look! (Images by Tim McDermott)

The feathers were used to tied in shades of blue in the bridesmaids' bouquets. They carried white calla lilies, ivory roses, accented with the peacock feathers and looped lily grass.

The bridal bouquet was a fall mix of mini calla lilies, roses, and looped lily grass.

The groom wore a fall calla lily to match his bride.

The other guys wore an ivory rose to match the girls.

The ceremony was held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

The mothers carried a few fall flowers instead of wearing flowers.

We LOVE grandparents!

A cluster of peacock feathers decorated the end of each pew.

The feather from the pews were used on the backs of the chairs at the reception.

Best wishes to the bride and groom and their families! It was a pleasure working with you!
