Vintage Photo Shoot at Union Station

At the end of February, we were asked by St. Louis Bride Magazine to provide an arrangement in "turn of the century" style for a photo shoot for their upcoming issue. This is how we interpreted our assignment. :) The shoot was held in the Grand Hall at Union Station and the flowers were used later that evening for the St. Louis Bride Magazine awards dinner.

We used a clear glass urn and built the arrangement on top. The flowers were types that would have been found in turn of the century gardens. All of the flowers were textured and loose, yet formal.

We hung pearl strands from the arrangement for another formal element. The satellites were silver julep cups of lamb's ear and brunea berry. We also used pedestal bowls with pink heather to support floating candles.

The linens were so ornate and intricate! Small pearl and crystal accents reflected the light of the candles so beautifully!

Deep, Red Fall bouquets

These are some beautiful examples of red bouquets and flowers, without using all roses. Lisa and Brett were married in early October and had a very elegant reception at Hyatt Union Station.

Photos by Denash Photography.

Lisa's bouquet was a mix of several different types and textures of red flowers that included mini callas, orchids, roses, and hypericum berries.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of all red mini callas with looped lily grass accents.

The entire reception was blanketed in candlelight. Three different sizes of votive candle holders were used in clusters on every table.

The place card table had a tall, all white arrangement on top of a trumpet vase filled with curly willow. (We LOVE the linen on this table!!)

Three different centerpieces were used to show three different looks and heights. One version was a tall cylinder with white calla lilies and curly willow (as seen in the background of this photo).

The tallest centerpiece was a trumpet vase filled at the base with white hydrangea and green hanging amaranthus with curly willow and hanging votives coming out of the top. Total height on this arrangement was approximately 5-6ft.

One-third of the tables had low cubes filled with all red flowers, similar to the bride's bouquet.

Notice how the different heights in the room bring interest to each individual table.

All our best wishes to the newlyweds!!

Also, thanks to Elizabeth at Cosmopolitan Events for coordinating the event!

Wedding at Hyatt Union Station

We just wanted to share some pictures of a beautiful wedding we helped out with this past spring. Emily (Murnin) Tochtrop was a great bride to work with. We were fortunate enough to work with great vendors and a great venue as well. All Dressed in White coordinated this event and everything flowed together flawlessly. Check it out:

The ceremony was held in one of the ballrooms and the reception was in the Grand Hall. The ballroom was decorated with our canopy, draped fabric, and flowers. The aisles candles had clusters of the same bright wedding flowers .

All of the bouquets had a linear design. The same bright colors from the ceremony were used for the bridesmaids bouquets.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!! It was a pleasure working with you!!

Grand Hyatt at Union Station

Here are a few pics from one of our most recent weddings at Grand Hyatt Union Station:

Tall and short centerpieces with all white flowers were used. Tulips, hydrangea, snapdragons, curly willow and pheasant feathers filled these tall cylinders.

Shorter clusters of vases with similar white flowers balanced out the other tables.

Alternating cluster vases were used to line the middle of the head table.

As an extra special treat, the guests were able to find their place cards on top of a bed of pink carnations. This box was approximately 2 ft. x 4ft. and held over 200 carnations!! Sisters Flowers rents this white wooden box to be filled with similar flowers or short grass and flowers for any event.
