Non-Traditional Holiday Colors

This holiday party was last week at the Double Tree in Chesterfield. Sisters worked closely with our corporate client to design these centerpieces for the tables. We based the design on the client's holiday invitation that included bright orange, green, pink, blue and purple.

Small vases of all the colors decorated the cocktail tables.
Three different centerpieces were used on the guest tables........

Version one was a cluster of three vases of solid colors of flowers.

Version two was also a cluster of three vases, but incorporated fruit in one of the vases.

Version three was a short, lush arrangement of all the colors and flowers mixed together.

Stay tuned for pictures of another holiday party we are doing today at the Chase that is also using non-traditional colors for their decorations.

Luminous Light at the Planetarium

The Planetarium in Forest Park is such an awesome venue for a reception. We recently worked there with centerpieces that had a "twinkle" all their own!!

These tall cylinder vases were filled with apples and curly willow. Iris and orchids added color and a disc LED light made the water glow.

Short, lush arrangements with LED lights decorated the opposite tables.

The Planetarium was dotted with beams of light on the tables and on the ceiling! This is an example of how table decor can really add to the design of a wedding--highlighting not only the small details, but the big picture at the venue as well!

Fruit and Flowers

Sisters designed these lush, fall arrangements for a rehearsal dinner last October. Our clients wanted to incorporate lots of texture and interest for the season. Fall roses, hydrangea, daises, berries and curly willow worked well together in the arrangements. We used red apples inside the cylinder vases to continue the fall color low on the table.

Fun with fruit and flowers!

Two Beautiful Brides, Two Beautiful Bouquets

Jenny and Katie were an absolute pleasure to work with. Here are some photos of their May wedding. Their colors were apple green and pink. We did very garden-y mixed bouquets for the ceremony and accented the same flowers and colors at the reception. Photos by Kelly Manno.

The bridal bouquets were similar, except for lily of the valley, which was added as a special touch in one of the bouquets. Both bouquets included bells of Ireland, calla lilies, freesia, and roses.

At the reception the "apple green" accent color literally transformed to apples. Fruit was added to the other wedding flowers to create fresh-looking, spring table arrangements.

Special thanks to Sabrina from Proposing Dreams for coordinating such a lovely event.

Best wishes to the happy couple!

Apples and Place cards

This is a great idea for dressing up a place card table. Lisa, the bride, came to us with a picture of a really awesome arrangement that included apples for her September wedding. We used the picture as inspiration and modified it to fit her style and needs. Here are a couple of shots that Christa, one of the Sisters team, took during set-up.

Here is what the guests saw as they came into the reception room.

Each cylinder vase was filled with apples and mixed red flowers.

We used gerber daisies, alstromeria, berries, and LOTS of curly willow.

Just a an idea for a great way to make an impression on your guests with the colors and flowers of your wedding.
