Old Cathedral and Peabody Opera House Wedding

Jessica and Matt had a beautiful wedding and reception at the Old Cathedral and the Peabody Opera House.  They opted for a clean, traditional look with ivory flowers and gold accents.  Photos by Heather Roth Photography.

Jessica's bouquet was a soft mix of hydrangea, roses, and spray roses--rounded and romantic!

The maids carried a clutch of all white hydrangea.

The sweet flower girl had her rose kissing ball and her handsome ring bearer partner.

The memory table was decorated with vases of white hydrangea that were first used at the Old Cathedral to line the aisle.

The gold accents at the reception were incorporated not only through the chargers and stationary, but also in the flower vessels.

Crystal draped gold stands held a lush mix of hydrangea and roses for some guest tables.

This calla lily and hydrangea design was also used on a third of the guest tables.

Rustic Mt. Vernon Wedding

Mary and Darrell enjoyed a beautiful wedding day at the Mitchell Museum in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Both the ceremony and reception were held on site.  The flowers reflected their rustic, yet romantic, wedding style.  Photos by Brea Photography.

Soft flowers were accented with rustic touches like twine wrap.

The wooden ceremony structure was set up inside the museum, in front of a floor-to-celing window of the fall landscape.  We decorated the structure with rustic blooms and branches.

The guest tables were long rectangles that featured both low, round arrangements and tall lighted branch arrangements.

What a beautiful day for a wedding!  We are glad to have been a part of it!

Lush Ivories at the Chase Park Plaza

This very classic white and ivory color scheme complimented the Starlight Roof at the Chase wonderfully. All the flowers were very textured and soft and lent to the warm feeling of the ceremony and reception.

The bridal bouquet was a mixture of roses- standard, garden, and spray. The different shades of white and ivory really give each bloom definition.

The reception flowers reflected the softness of the ceremony flowers. With all white and ivory flowers on the tables and the soft candlelight that glowed throughout, the whole reception had a very romantic feeling.

This event was simply gorgeous and we had a lot of fun working on it!!

Such a Pretty Bouquet

Romantic, delicate and soft are all descriptions that we hear often from our brides when discussing their bouquets. Here is a bridal bouquet we designed that encompasses all three!

The ivory roses and white hydrangea tucks give this arrangement it's lush background. The white cymbidium orchids have a blush pink throat that perfectly accents the pink waxflower filler. We may be biased, but we think this bouquet takes the cake!

Spring is in the Air!

Take a look at this yummy bridal bouquet. Coral roses, bright pink tulips, green hydrangea, berries and purple filler all remind us that spring is here! We had fun with this vibrant combo!

Touches of Blue

Stephanie was one of our brides last summer. She wanted a bouquet for herself with just very light hints of blue. Here is what we came up with......


We used white and ivory roses and hydrangea as the base of the bouquet. The subtle hints of blue came from blue hydrangea that was tucked throughout the white and ivory.

We were so pleased to help Stephanie with her wedding!!

Bevo Mill Show

We enjoyed participating in the Bevo Mill show last weekend. Here are some of the designs we took with us.

All red roses are so classic, but can be given a unique spin with just a little touch. This bouquet had a wire collar for some added interest.

We feel like spring is in the air! That was the inspiration for this bouquet. With orchids, tulips, ranunculus and hydrangea, who wouldn't think spring looking at this grouping?!

Four Different Bouquets

These are some great examples of different styles bouquets can have. We designed recently these for a wedding show we did at Scott Air Force Base.




The bouquet on the bottom right is a more contemporary and sleek look. It is simple, all white callas wrapped into a clutch.




This mixed bouquet has lots of texture in each individual flower to bring interest to the whole. It has orange spray roses, ivory stock, and purple dahlias.

This is a more traditional look using Esperance roses and white mini cymbidium orchids to accent. It is very lush and romantic!

This hydrangea and rose bouquet has a very gardeny look. It differs from the "normal" bouquet in that the shades of colors are more "clumped" together to make each one stand out.

All four bouquets have their own distinct characteristics. Often, it's just personal style preference that chooses which type is best for a specific event.

Ceremony and Reception at Soulard Preservation Hall

Here is a unique way to use flowers for a ceremony and reception all in one location. Our clients for this event double-used ceremony and guest table flowers to decorate their space. The room was used for the ceremony and then turned over for the reception.

Cube vases filled with white hydrangea lined the stage for the ceremony. Afterwards, they were used for all the guest table decorations.







Julep cups with white hydrangea decorated the chairs at the ceremony and were later used to decorate the reception as well.

Our tall metal trees were set up on the stage to frame the bride and groom for the ceremony. They were left up for the reception and provided decoration in the room.

This was an excellent example of how flowers can be utilized fully at an event. It just takes planning and design work to make it happen seamlessly!

Texture with dahlias and hydrangea

This September wedding of Kelley and Justin took place at St. Agatha's in Soulard and Lemp Mansion. These flowers are great examples of how texture can really bring added interest to bouquets. Notice how the different shapes and sizes of flowers really bring your eye in to see everything in the bouquets. Thanks to Lace for these beautifully detailed photos.

The bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets incorporated dark purples, blues, red, and greens for a very rich color palate.

Open roses, hydrangea, sedum, berries and dahlias all played a part in the lushness of Kelley's bouquet. Each flower added a unique element to the whole.

Simply gorgeous!

White cymbidiums were also worn as hair flowers.

The guys wore red spray roses with a little purple accent to match the girls.

The cake was decorated with a few dark red dahlias on the top.

The centerpieces were so unique! Five tea tins were decorated by the bride with printed paper for each table. Sisters filled each tin with a cluster of wedding flowers in wedding colors. Each table was different and interesting.
