Making a Statement at Your Event

So many creative options are available now to help you make a splash at your event.  Here is an example of a client who always puts a priority on having a big "wow" factor.  These pictures are from RGA's annual holiday party, a company and event we are lucky enough to design flowers for every year.  RGA always wants emphasis on an entry table, or what they like to call the "WOW Table."  This year, they opted for a snowflake ice sculpture with flowers to help bring in some color.  The party linens and decor was mostly silver and pale blues, but we suggested they do their "WOW Table" in all red, a way to draw everyone's attention to the piece and to use their company logo color at the event.  This was the end result:

Imagine the guests at this party walking in and seeing this statement piece!

We used submerged vases of flowers with lots of levels of candle light to warm up the look of the entry table.

The ice sculpture was also up-lit in red.

 

Floating blooms and a bed of rose petals were also part of the details of the table.

Striking Scheme at Graham Chapel and Lumen

Kinosha and Cyl were had a very classic wedding scheme. Their red, black, and white palette made for a very romantic and striking event. Here are some images from their day courtesy of Beautiful Mess Photography.



All the wedding flowers were deep red roses that made a statement against the black dresses and tuxes.









Each place setting had a red rose on the black napkin.

Warm Reds with Black and White

This is a red, white and black wedding that we did in November. The bridal bouquet was monochromatic reds using different types of flowers. The bridesmaids carried all white gerber daisies with black centers. (Photos by Gail Fleming)

Wedding at FK Event Space

This new event space down town is a blank slate when it comes to decor. Here is how one of our clients used it for their ceremony this past February.

The ceremony decor included our uncovered canopy and two small tables with our crystal trees to frame the bride and groom.

These pics are of our set-up. We used the event space's freight elevator to transport our materials to the ceremony and reception rooms.

The flowers were a mix of all reds. Calla lilies, roses, and dahlias were used in the bridal bouquet. The same red color scheme was used in the bridesmaids' bouquets and at the reception.

Electric Purple, Fuchsia, and Red

Chrissy and Dave were married this past month at St. George in Afton and had an impressive and beautiful reception at the Electricians Hall. We worked on this wedding with Lacy Branch Events. Lacy and her staff worked seamlessly with the hall and all the vendors to transform the reception space! Take a peek at some of the day's highlights! (Photos by Von Devore Photography.)

All of the personal flowers were a mix of royal purples, red, and fuchsia. They included roses, gerber daisies, spray roses, hydrangea, and little flower crystals. These bouquets really spotlighted the bride and blended well with the bridesmaids' dresses.

The reception design used the purples, reds, and pinks differently for the tables. Here, the colors were separated-- reds and pinks together, and the purples and lavenders paired.

Some of the centerpieces were taller arrangements in cylinders and others were long and low rectangles and squares.

Lighting was an important element in the hall, so every low centerpiece was illuminated with LEDs to make the tables glow.

The cake was topped with a few gerbers on each layer, but the backdrop of lighting and fabric really made all the difference!

Ideas for Two Venues

These snapshots of the Ballpark Hilton and Top of the Met give just a few glimpses of what the rooms look like set up with centerpieces on the tables. There are many different ways to use these two versatile venues. Take a peek!

This table outside of the ballroom at the Hilton was used for the placecard table. We designed a large vase of flowers for the table so that attention would be drawn to the table as guests arrived.

Inside the room, each table had a low, round centerpiece in shades of pinks and green.

These next pictures are of the Top of the Met. This reception had all shades of red flowers in two different centerpieces.

Clear glass decorative candelabras with balls of roses, dahlias, and alstromeria were the center of half of the guest tables.

Round, full bowls of the same flowers decorated the other half of the tables in the room.

There are so many awesome event spaces in this city! We'll post up more pictures of reception ideas as we get them!
