To re-use or not to re-use...

Here is an example of how flowers from the ceremony can be re-used at the reception. These julep cups filled with hydrangea were used to line the aisle and the pathway leading to the ceremony. Afterwards, these were taken down and used as smaller centerpieces and could have also been used for cocktail tables.

Here is another example of re-using. This bride's pew decorations were flower wreaths that we used again as centerpieces by incorporating candles. (Photo by Zettl Photography)

Lots of times, "altar" arrangements can be re-used at the place card table or as decoration for buffet tables or the bar. There are lots of ways to double-use flowers and save a little in the process.

I find ways to re-use ceremony props at the reception site without it looking like that is what I'm trying to do. I call it "double dipping". My favorite is re-using the ceremony program with a few extra flowers taken from the altar pieces. Thanks for sharing your story Emily.
