Petal Pinks in July

Christine and Nick exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends this past July.  The tones of their wedding were neutrals with hints of petal pink.  Our design team selected very textured, romantic blooms for their bouquets and reception decor.  Images by LPhotographie.

Christine bouquets included champagne roses, pale pink dahlias, spray roses, and hydrangea.

The pews at Our Lady of the Pillar were adorned with clusters of white hydrangea.

The tent at the DoubleTree in Chesterfield was decked out with floral garlands, towering vases for the round guest tables and low, full centerpieces for the long guest tables.

The round tables had tall centerpieces and the rectangle tables had low flare vases with all the wedding tones.

Special draping and lighting was provided by Exclusive Events.

Hot Pink and Berry Orchids

We love a bright pop of color!  Here are some awesome shots by Storybook Photography of our designs that incorporated a splash of hot pink and berry using a mix of blooms including ORCHIDS!!

Tall pedestals and low metallic vases lined the long farm table.

Berry and hot pink phalenopsis and dendrobium orchids were featured in all of the pieces.

A bright orchid bloom at each place setting was a fun touch.

We loved the gold and berry shades together on one table.

Organic Table Scape at Heartland Estate

This rustic table was full of organic elements at a new historic farm venue, Heartland Estate.  From the wood platforms to the succulents and greenery used in the arrangements, each detail reflected the organic theme.  Images by Storybook Photography.

The overall idea was to showcase textures over colors, so we kept the general color scheme mostly neutral.

Blue thistle added the only bright pop of color in the mixed greenery.

Each place setting had a coordinating, but not matching, cluster of organic elements.

Even orchids can be organic and rustic in the right setting!

We tucked succulents in anywhere we could!

The key to this rustic table setting was using lots of different varieties of greenery and organic elements in natural shapes and tones.

Your Fall Color Palette- How to add autumn without pumpkins and leaves

We love when autumn begins and we get to design with all the textures and colors that the season brings.  While we love rich gold and orange tones, fall flowers don't have to be limited to the traditional color palette.  Here are some examples we designed just in the last few weeks for clients who wanted an autumn feel without the pumpkins and fall leaves.

This bouquet featured seeded eucalyptus, a greenery that most people visually associate with fall.  We also used mums, another fall texture, but in a berry color instead of the traditional orange, yellow, or red.  The deep shades of berry and the fall textures give a sense of fall in non-traditional and beautiful way.

The mantle flowers for this event have the same berry tones, but with dark purple added.  The addition of the purple gives one more layer to the color palette while still representing the fall tones and textures of the season.

Don't be afraid to add neutral tones to fall.  Here, we added some white hydrangea in the background of this centerpiece that was primarily berry, burgundy, and purple.  With the fall magnolia and seeded eucalyptus for greenery, this has become one of our favorite new seasonal combinations.

You can even take the neutral tones one stem further by adding in some champagne and toning down the purple.  This bouquet still had magnolia and eucalyptus, but used the textures and buds of the blooms to invoke a fall feeling, even in a more subdued color palette.

These fun designs are a few of the numerous ways that autumn can be an element of your design, even if red, yellow, and orange aren't in your vision.

Sisters is Now Offering Interactive Party Favors

"Action Stations" are becoming a popular addition to may parties and events.  These stations offer guests a chance to participate in a celebration like never before.  For instance, some guests may get to see their food made as they wait or observe cigar rolling for their take-home enjoyment.  Sisters Floral Design Studio has come up with their own version of this fun trend.  We now offer your guests a chance to learn how to arrange flowers right at your event-- and we do all the work!

Here's how it works:

The Design Studio staff will come to your party and bring all the supplies needed- flowers, containers, tools, etc.  We will set up in the designated area like we did here for a recent bridal shower at a client's home.

Design Team member/s will stay to guide your guests in choosing a container, selecting flowers, and arranging them to take home.  It's a nice little gift for them, but it's not just flowers, it's also the knowledge and experience of handling the flowers themselves!

The guests at this bridal shower really enjoyed the camaraderie with their fellow guests and family members.

We LOVE Wreaths!

Wreaths can be a fun addition to your event or wedding.  Here are just a few examples of how we have helped our clients add a special touch using wreaths. 

These sweet carnation wreaths adorned the chapel doors at this wedding.

Here's another gorgeous way to incorporate a wreath into a ceremony.  We attached this wreath to the back of the bride and groom's chairs at the front of the church.

Greenery wreaths are also a fresh, fun way to soften ceremony doors.  These are made entirely of boxwood.

For a special added touch, this bride included their initials on these boxwood wreaths.

What can we say?  We LOVE wreaths!
