64,000 Rose Petals!!

This was a VERY lush aisle at a recent ceremony that we helped out with. This aisle was lined with 64,000 white rose petals to make a path for the bride at her outdoor ceremony. Check it out!

There were four cardboard boxes filled with sixteen smaller individual boxes of petals. The boxes were heavy and PACKED with petals!!

We lined the aisle with full mounds of petals.

No one could mistake that the bride would make her grand entrance on this path!

More Pictures of a Summery Wedding

Here are some snapshots a wedding we did back on August 1st and blogged about earlier. This wedding had an outdoor reception at the bride's house with very summer-y colors.

The bridal bouquet was a garden-y mix of ivory roses, white mini callas, yellow freesia, purple filler, buplerum, and white cattaleya orchids.

The aisle was decorated with two different kinds of flowers arrangements--these flower clusters.....

......and these flower balls.

The altar was lined with this bright, mixed arrangement.

All the flowers at the church were taken to the bride's home, where the reception was held, to be used again.

The bridesmaids' flowers were circus roses, yellow roses, purple filler, and white iris.

What a beautiful bride!

The reception, held in the backyard under a tent, was bright and colorful like the ceremony. Each guest table had three different vases with three different types of flowers in wedding colors.

What a fun reception!!

Using Your Containers for Centerpieces

We often have clients who have containers or vases that they would like to use for their receptions. Here is an example of just that. This bride had her reception at Moulin and gave us her own amber glassware to use for the centerpieces. These are the snapshots that we took of the set-up.

We filled the bride's containers with a lush arrangements of purple hydrangea.

We also took shots of the ceremony flowers and bouquets. Pink and purple were the main colors of the day.

We made these "altar" arrangements to frame the bride and groom for the ceremony.

The bride carried this lush, garden bouquet of all white and ivory roses and hydrangea.

The bridesmaids carried hot pink roses with purple filler.

It was a very nice color palette for late summer and we had fun working on this one!!

All White Wedding

Latashia and Terrance were married on Labor Day weekend. Their ceremony was on the Logan College campus and their reception was at Lumen. (See the previous blog about our BIG Lumen set-up to see the decor!) All of the wedding party wore white and had white flowers. The following are shots by our very own, Chelsea.

Latashia carried a bouquet of all white calla lilies with crystal accents.

The bridesmaids carried these white mixes of roses, hydrangea, spray roses, and crystal accents.

These ring bearer pillows were covered in white button mums.

Cute, cute, cute!!

The men wore mini calla bouts.

The little man had a small spray rose for his bout.

We had a great time working with Latashia, Terrance, and Latashia's sister, Jedidiah! Thanks to Rosemary Harris, the couple's coordinator, for helping make the whole wedding design possible.
Best wishes to the bride and groom!

Reception Set-up at Lumen

This was a unique set-up that we did Labor Day weekend at Lumen. This reception had a winter-y theme with our metal trees, white branches, and hanging votives and crystals. Chelsea, our in-house photographer, took these shots of the reception set-up that day.
The room had an unusual layout. The guests and wedding party sat at one U-shaped table the circled the room.

We placed our trees evenly spaced out among the guests' seats.

Our WONDERFUL staff of four "Sisters" set-up nine- 6 foot trees, hanging votives, crystals, branches, and all!

Each place setting had a single white cymbidium orchid for the lucky guest.

The lounge area upstairs had these calla and dendrobium arrangements draped with crystals.

This was a big set-up, but an awesome finished product. Thanks to the BEST Sisters Staff in the world!!

Continuing the Yellow Theme....

Here is another example of using yellow flowers for a bright, summer-y wedding. These shots were taken by our very own "Sister", Chelsea, at a wedding just a few weeks ago. The wedding was at Central Reform Congregation and the reception was at Ninth Street Abbey. Take a look!!

The bridal bouquet was a bright mix of yellow roses, white freesia, and white waxflower filler.

The entry table at the ceremony had this large, showy arrangement in the wedding colors.

We decorated the CRC's chuppah with yellow clusters of roses.

Vases filled with yellow flowers were placed at the base of the four posts.

The bridesmaids carried yellow roses with white waxflower filler.

The reception had all yellow and white flowers, to carry through the bright colors from the ceremony.

White hydrangea and yellow rose arrangements decorated the guest tables.

Congratulations to Katherine and Sean! We wish you all the best!
